Freshmenu is one of the best discoveries among food deliveries in town with an equally spotless, user-friendly app. It lives up to its name quite literally, for we had a jolly good experience trying out the spread and being amazed each time with the freshness as well as flavor . Offerings are not the usual run-of-the-mill affair and it is nice to see a freshly curated menu. Packaging is chic and innovative, and food comes piping hot , well on time.
They serve a whole range of cuisines – Italian, Chinese, Continental, Thai, Mediterranean, Lebanese – so you have much to choose from.
Orange and Chicken Salad set the ball rolling with loads of crisp lettuce, olives and fine orange cuts . The sweet and salty citrus dip was delightfully tangy.
Chicken Coriander Dimsums looked beautiful and had ample, mildly-spiced filling. They were an instant hit with all folks, and that red chilli sauce grew on our taste-buds subtly.
Sweet and Spicy Nuggets were a blast of hotness served in bowl. I could have preferred a tad less spice and more sweet , but this was addicting nevertheless – the crispness of sesame and onions had its own charm .
Penne Primavera with Roasted Chicken . I usually carry a strong bias for white sauce, however this offering of Freshmenu put me in a quandary. The tomato based penne sauce with its herbs and seasoning was sheer brilliance. Not too hot or bland, it was a perfect companion for the smoked and roasted chicken cuts.
We had a closure to our meal with a jarful of a famous French savory with an Indian twist – Mango and Coconut Marquis . This dessert ought to be their signature dish – the delightful combination – creaminess of coconut and sweet punch of the “king of fruits” was a show-stealer.
Found a fabulous spot close by to satiate hunger pangs. Prices are pocket-friendly and quantity is fulsome. Freshmenu is definitely recommended for an exciting yet laid-back meal at home .
